We are a small business that proudly supports social justice movements and local animal rescue efforts. We are especially involved in animal rescue, sometimes even fostering dogs in our office! MEET OUR TEAM
Kate founded Chicago Vintage Weddings in 2012 as a way to channel her love of design and her extensive hospitality background into something that would bring joy to others. As a former concierge manager and catering associate, as well as a lifelong thrifter and decorator, the idea to start a wedding planning and vintage rental company (the first of its kind!) came naturally. Having previously intended to go to veterinary school---earning degrees in Biological Sciences and Gender Studies before discovering her passion for weddings---she maintains a connection to those fields by supporting human rights and animal welfare organizations. Both a big picture thinker and obsessively detail-oriented, she loves working with clients to figure out their needs and realize the vision for their events from start to finish. She thinks even the most minor details are exciting and loves figuring out event logistics. Clients and wedding guests consistently praise her organization, taste level, communication and ability to take charge of any situation. Kate eats, sleeps and breathes weddings; she feels lucky to be able do what she loves for a living and she treasures the lasting relationships she builds with CVW couples.

Rental and Operations Manager
Chantel is an all-around rental guru. She keeps everything running smoothly and ensures that every client's experience exceeds expectations. Her degree in Graphic and Web Design means that she is constantly bringing creative ideas to the table and keeping our look polished, and she loves doing unique projects for our clients. She is a passionate designer who is always sure to go the extra mile, often tweaking clients' rental looks on-site until they are just right!
Loves: Her dog Dennis, apartment gardening, wearing mixed patterns, bold lipsticks, tropical chic, swans, graphic design, anything sage green, 80's Art Deco Revival, Impressionism, a good suit, whiskey, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and Hawaiian style pizza
Originally from New England, Jen has been working in Chicago events for the past 15+ years. While in college she was a catering server, which led her to discover her passion for weddings. Her hospitality background includes a decade in venue and on-site catering services management. She originally collaborated with Chicago Vintage Weddings in that role for over five years before she was convinced to join the planning team.
Jen's favorite part of a wedding day is the moments that lead up to the couple meeting at the altar to share their vows. The excitement and anticipation gets her every time! Jen loves getting into the details of the movement and flow of the day, taking into consideration every contingency so that the day can be as smooth as possible for her couples. When the couple sees their reception space for the first time, it makes her day.
Loves: Reading and collecting cookbooks, learning new craft skills, chasing after her son, gin cocktails, bold and bright colors, trying new dessert recipes, New England in the fall, forecasting design trends
Georgianna (Georgie) Dominguez
Georgie is organized, energetic and as passionate about weddings as they come. Originally a Chicago Vintage Weddings bride, she quickly impressed us so much that we knew we had to make room for her on the planning team. Georgie's background is in hospitality and beauty, and she has extensive wedding experience as an on-site makeup artist. Her attention to detail makes her a highly capable coordinator, and her incredible design taste (her own wedding was featured in print and in Martha Stewart Weddings) means that everything will be picture-perfect on the wedding day. When she isn't working, Georgie can usually be found at home with her husband and dog, with French music and a good candle swirling through the condo.
Loves: A good challenge, her dog Claude, shopping for home decor, creating new candle scents, her weekly fresh flower order, never skipping breakfast, oak milk lattes, Korean dramas, daydreaming about life in the French countryside
Kim is a couple's dream come true. She is a triple threat, having worked in interior design, hospitality and event management. Originally an interior designer, she brings her sense of style to each event and ensures that every project is managed seamlessly at every level. Organization and communication are her strong suits, and she loves the opportunity to connect with couples and vendors as the big day approaches. On wedding days, she can be found triple checking every detail and making sure that everyone in the wedding party and family know exactly what to do.
Loves: Spending time with her daughter, all things design, a good cup of coffee, traveling, seeing family and friends, relaxing with a new book
